Underneath the football jock exterior, Kwan is a kind person at heart. He never much liked picking on the "losers" of the school but fell into the habit to keep his teammates from giving him a hard time about it. He is fairly smart and gets decent grades. He is a natural with technology. At first, he had a fear of ghosts, but he's become more comfortable around them since he started getting to know them. After being sucked into the RPG Fantasian, Kwan fought through the Gear Temple with Dash and Toki. During the boss battle, he was bitten by Dentata and nearly died. This bite mark stayed with him even after they got out of the game. |

Kwan's family life has never been all that great. He is the sole child of his parents, Bai and Lan Long. His parents consider Kwan to be a mistake, and in their eyes, he can never do anything right. Their verbal abuse has led Kwan to thinking that most of the time he is nothing more than a burden to others, and it's this way of thinking that led to his suicide attempts. |

Dash Baxter: His best friend since middle school. The only thing Kwan never felt comfortable sharing with Dash is the way his parents treat him. Things have been strained between them since Kwan got a boyfriend and Dash started acting strangely (and Dan letting the facts slip over the internet didn't help). Kwan wants there to be peace between Dash and Danny. Danny Fenton: Kwan's boyfriend. After the issue with Faux, they broke it off for a while, before they both got knocked over the head with the logic stick and got back together. They both agreed not to hide their relationship from the school. Vlad Masters: Kwan's boss when he interned at Axion Labs. Kwan has come to depend on the man greatly and is currently living in a suite at The Renaissance hotel with Masters after being removed from his parents' home. Things have become a bit awkward between them since they visited a future world where they discovered they had an intimate relationship in that future. Later, Vlad got Kwan's parents to sign over guardianship to him. Lyonell Lancer: Kwan's teacher. Lancer helped Kwan deal with the fact that he was gay after he came to that realization. Kwan went to Lancer after the Faux issue to help him with the resonance problem. This led to Kwan becoming Lancer's apprentice. After the collapse of The Renaissance, Kwan moved in with Lancer. Fright Knight: Kwan's shadow for a time. After discovering that Kwan was cutting himself, Masters sent for Fright Knight to watch over Kwan to make sure he doesn't hurt himself. After much frustration over the witch issue, Fright Knight smacked Kwan by accident and was dismissed from the duty of watching over Kwan. Mei Kwok: Kwan's female alter ego. When Danny suggested going to the Halloween party as magician and assistant, Kwan asked Lancer to turn him into a girl for the costume. After a run in with Dash at the party, Kwan blurted out the name Mei. Phantom: Kwan's puppy that he received from Danny for his sixteenth birthday. Phantom is a well-trained puppy and loves scratches behind the ear as well as belly rubs. He, until recently, had a secret friendship with a ghost dog by the name of Cujo. Kwan has recently discovered this friendship, but he sees no reason to try and separate Phantom and Cujo. Lei the Wolf: Kwan's imaginary friend. He created Lei while growing up, finding the wolf to be the one that understood what he was going through with his parents. Until recently, he had forgotten about the existence of Lei, but he remembered his friend after Lancer suggested he start learning visualization. Reunited with his old friend, Kwan promised never to abandon Lei again. |
